ABSTRACT
Introdução: a doença de Parkinson é uma desordem degenerativa do sistema nervoso central, que se expressa de forma crônica e progressiva. Objetivo: compreender a percepção do cuidador familiar do idoso com doença de Parkinson acerca da saúde bucal. Métodos: trata-se de um estudo descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa, realizado com 10 cuidadores familiares de idosos com a doença de Parkinson no Projeto de Extensão Pró-Parkinson: Odontologia, por meio de uma entrevista com questionário aberto com oito questões subjetivas. Os dados foram submetidos à Análise de Conteúdo e Análise Léxica, esta última utilizou o software IRAMUTEQ. Resultados: no que diz respeito à análise de conteúdo, emergiram quatro categorias temáticas, sendo estas: (1) a importância da saúde bucal para o idoso com Parkinson; (2) o papel do cuidador familiar na manutenção da saúde bucal; (3) alterações na cavidade oral provenientes do Parkinson; (4) manutenção e cuidados com a saúde bucal. Na análise léxica, houve a subdivisão em: árvore máxima de similitude; análise da nuvem representativa; classificação hierárquica descendente; e análise fatorial de correspondência, que permitiram elencar as palavras de maior centralidade no cuidado, que foram "estar", "cuidar", "filho", "vez", "prótese", "Parkinson", "ficar", "dificuldade" e "banho". Além disso, na classificação hierárquica descendente a palavra tremor estava associada às palavras saliva e boca. Considerações finais: a compreensão do processo de cuidar da saúde bucal pelos cuidadores familiares através da vivência cotidiana e das orientações dos profissionais de saúde é imprescindível para a garantia da promoção da saúde e prevenção de doenças relacionadas à cavidade oral.(AU)
Introduction: Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disorder in the central nervous system that is expressed in a chronic and progressive manner. Objective: to understand the perception of family caregivers of seniors with Parkinson about their care with oral health. Method: this is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, which was performed with 10 family caregivers of elderly people with Parkinson's disease. Pro-Parkinson Extension Project: Dentistry, through an interview with an open questionnaire with eight subjective questions. The data were submitted to the Content and Lexical Analysis, the latter used the IRAMUTEQ software. Results: with regard to content analysis, four thematic categories emerged, which are: (1) the importance of oral health for the elderly with Parkinson's; (2) the role of the family caregiver in maintaining oral health; (3) changes in the oral cavity caused by Parkinson's; and (4) maintenance and care of oral health. In the lexical analysis, there was a subdivision: maximum similarity tree; analysis of the representative cloud; descending hierarchical classification; and correspondence factor analysis, which allowed to list the greater centrality of words in care: being, caring, child, time, prosthesis, Parkinson's, staying, difficulty and bathing. In addition, in the descending hierarchical classification, the word tremor was associated with the words saliva and mouth. Conclusion: the unders tanding of the process of taking care of oral health by family caregivers through daily experience and the guidance of health professionals is essential to ensure health promotion and prevention of disease related to the oral cavity.(AU)
